Yes, we’re making this game. Get ready for six fingers of Vuvuzela-blowing action with Vuvuzela Hero. Keep an eye out for a public beta later this week, and the full version sometime before the end of the World Cup.
Choose a team and follow them to all their competitions, from qualifiers through group play and into the knockout rounds. If your team gets eliminated, just pick another one and play on. And there’s no wrong time to play a vuvuzela, although there’s lots of right times.
We’re polishing up the last few features (such as visual/sound effects and the online scoreboard) and should be getting this out there within a month or so. This is going to be a totally free game and once it’s wrapped up we’ve got another project already in the works. Also make sure to view it in HD to see all the details.
ClickDesk is the perfect program for playing a prank on someone with a prized laptop or LCD monitor. Its operation is simple: Start the program, hide the window, then start clicking. The program takes a screenshot of the desktop and applies cracks, bubbles, and glitch lines to the image, and from just about any distance looks like something horrible happened to the screen.
Instructions are included with the program. The program has known issues with transparent desktop items like the vista sidebar, and will only run on the primary monitor if multiple monitors are in use. ClickDesk 2010 was supposed to resolve this issue but will not be ready for the April 1st deadline. ClickDesk 2009 can still be downloaded at the link below:
There’s a couple projects in the works, which is the main reason why there haven’t been any updates for a few days. This blog will be mostly silent until we’re ready to announce one of the projects, which shouldn’t take too long. I’ll hand it over to a couple other of the team members to introduce themselves over the next couple weeks.
This is a sort-of spammy post so I can keep up with my “post-a-day” regimen. Post-a-day may cause drowsiness, loss of bladder control, or mild skin irritation.
Anyway, here’s a couple of links to our “presence” elsewhere on the web. Right now it’s rather small (they have pills for that too) but as we add things they’ll show up on the sidebar somewhere around here —>
Sometimes I’m not in the mood to work on one of the main projects, or just have a little idea that needs to be taken way too far. Following are the results of some of those projects. Sometimes these ideas make their way into our games, sometimes they turn into games of their own. Either way, I just hope they’re seen as more than a waste of time.
